There is an abundance of amusement parks in Arizona. In Phoenix, there the Disney/ MGM Studios and in Phoenix you have the Arizona State University’s Phoenix campus. Phoenix has the largest concentration of these types of parks. These parks are located throughout the metro area. However, some of the largest in Arizona are located in and around Phoenix. For those who have never been to an amusement park before, they can be a little overwhelmed with the number of rides and scenes that they must get through.
If we are going to start with the larger amusement parks in Arizona: we would have to begin with Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Both of these parks are located in San Bernardino County, California. They have pretty much the same layouts each year, but each time visitors come they are presented with something new. Both of these parks offer lots of thrilling roller coasters, water slides, coasters, and even thrilling lap pools. In addition to being in California, both of these parks are about 60 minutes from San Francisco.
Next on our list are two of the biggest names in the park construction industry in Arizona: WDW (Walt Disney World) and Disney Land are the two main theme parks in Arizona. Both of these parks offer lots of fun things for kids, teens, and adults of all ages. Both of these parks offer good opening hours and have some of the most exciting roller coasters and water parks in the country.
Of course, if we are going to include golf courses into the list: we must include the Arizona State University’s Desert Ridge Golf Course. Desert Ridge is one of the premier golf courses in the entire southern United States. Just because it is located in Arizona, however, does not mean that the quality of play is anything less than what it should be. Desert Ridge is among the best courses for both men and women and some of the best courses for the whole family.
Our final stop on the tour of amusement parks in Arizona is the Papago Park: This park is located in the small town of Papago, Arizona. This water park attraction is probably my favorite out of all the rest. It offers over three thousand feet of slide paths for families, teens, and adults. And because it is completely indoors, you never need to worry about getting wet when visiting this fascinating attraction.
These are just a few of the many great theme parks in Arizona: If you want more information, check out my website. I plan to visit all of these places soon so that I can try them out for myself. Once I do, I will let you know. When you visit Arizona, make sure you take the time to see all of these wonderful places.
